Virtual Geology Stream Hike

October 4, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Virtual Programming with the Time and the Valleys Museum:
Zoom Webinar: Sunday, October 4th at 2pm
Join Haley Springston, Watershed Planning Coordinator of the Rondout-Neversink Stream Program, on Zoom, as we partner with the Time and the Valleys Museum to offer our first-ever, live-streaming virtual geology stream hike event. RNSP’s Watershed Planning Coordinator, Haley Springston, will lead viewers on a virtual geology hike along a Catskill stream, review the effects of geologic history on present-day streams, and answer questions from the audience.
Participants will learn how the Catskill landscape formed nearly 380 million years ago, how the geologic history of Catskill streams still affects our lives today, and how the Rondout Neversink Stream Program serves our local streams and communities.
The event is free. Registration is required. To register email the Museum at: info@timeandthevalleysmuseum.org
